The document search text queries where keywords can be combined with operators to refine and control your search results. These are the available operators:

AND: Returns results that match all specified terms. Example: classic AND modern Finds documents containing both “classic” and “modern”.

OR: Returns results that match at least one of the specified terms. Example: classic OR contemporary Finds documents containing either “classic” or “contemporary”.

NOT: Excludes documents that match the specified term. Example: classic NOT draft Finds documents containing “classic” but not “draft”.

( ) Grouping: Parentheses allow you to group terms and control the logic of the query. Example (classic OR contemporary) AND composed Finds documents that contain “composed” and either “classic” or “contemporary”.

+ Required: must be present in the document. Example: +classic draft Finds documents that must contain “classic” and may contain “draft”.

- Excluded Term: must not be present in the document. Example: classic -draft Finds documents containing “classic” but excluding those with “draft”.

? Single-Character Wildcard: The ? wildcard replaces exactly one character.
It can be used at the beginning, middle, or end of a term. Example: te?t Matches “text”, “test”, “teNt”, etc.

Quotes (" or ') Exact Match: Use single (') or double (") quotes to search for an exact phrase. Examples: "compared research" Finds documents containing the exact phrase “compared research”. (If an odd number of quotes is provided, all quotes will be automatically removed.)
