Legal Issues Relating to Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds - Croatia

Authors analyzed the possibility of introducing hedge funds in Croatia, and influence of foreign hedge funds to domestic industry and financial market. Also, regulation and influence of domestic private equity funds and venture capital funds was explored. Importantly, these funds are found to be active shareholders in domestic companies, so authours analyzed tactics of their influence. On the other hand, small investors are often not well informed about these funds, so the current soultions are analyzed and sugestions the lege ferenda were made in accordance with global trends of investor's protection.
