Each author has different techniques in his fiction. In this context, the narrator of the novel is one of the main components of fiction. Many different narrative techniques can be applied in a story. Kazuo Ishiguro also has a unique style in his fiction. In this way, he has gained worldwide attention. In his novels, he often uses the first-person narrator. The narrators he uses are the main characters of the stories and tend to exhibit a subjective narrative, in other words, unreliable narrators. Ishiguro's narrators are not only unreliable, they tend to mislead the reader. They use different methods to mislead the reader. The aim of this study is to focus on the misguided approach of the narrators in the first six novels of Ishiguro. Narrators use various tactics to show the events in their own volition. They demonstrate some common techniques in order to manipulate reality during events. They try to hide the point by diverting the reader's attention. This work illustrated the use of misleading techniques by narrators with several prominent events and circumstances in Ishiguro's novels.
